WW2 great coat, repro or real deal?

I came across this great coat amongst some other things, I've tried to research the makers label but can't seem to find much out, can anyone tell if it is a genuine item or a reproduction? Or any tips on what to look for please? I've attached a few pictures but it's the label that looks iffy to me.....thank you!

It is an Australian made example, which probably explains why it looks a bit iffy.

Stripes seem misplaced.... Should be halfway between shoulder and elbow and buttons are definitely non-military

I agree the buttons don't look original but they are often replaced over the years as they go missing so I couldn't tell from that alone, and would never have guessed the Australian link so thank you for that!

The makers name ( including party) gives the game away as being Australian -as well as the buttons - usually brass

    Cheers
