Just updating my profiles on the ten unfortunate WRENS killed in the bombing of Lee-on-Solent, 23rd November 1940.

From a web search the only info I find is that they died when their billet, Mansfield House, Lee-on-Solent was hit during the raid. Would anybody have any further details - press report - specific memorial - etc.?

Also I have photos of the graves of eight buried in Haslar Royal Naval Cemetery but missing two buried elswhere and would be grateful if anybody can oblige:-

BENNETT, Joyce Milicent - Dorking Cemetery, Surrey - PLot 1. Grave 5266

    BLACKETT, Winnie - Moorgate Cemetery, Rotherham - Sec.R, 1st New, Grave 53

    Hi Tony,

I appreciate this post is quite old now but thought you might find the following thread of interest as relates to these ladies, their graves & a memorial to them. Also a source for one of the missing pictures you were after if you still need it.

The Mansfield Hotel tragedy, Lee-on-Solent, November 1940

    Kind regards

    Michelle
