What, pray tell, brings you to that conclusion?

Let me guess, bombing Germany and Japan?
And how the other guys said that Stalin is the most evil person ?How they get to that conclusion? Maybe they read somewhere what he did.
Most of you people balive too much to everything newspappers, books,tv shows it's too much propaganda. Most of the people in Bulgaria lived when comrade Stalin was alive they told me a lot of things and im wiling to balive to them because after all they see everything first hand. After ww2 maybe 1946 a lot of crap had been said about USSR, Stalin.
I dont understand people who say that Stalin is more bad then Hitler. We all know that Hitler star a war ,a biger war then ww1.
In my point of view Hitler is the most evil person lived on the earth ,but in your point of view Hitler is bad but Stalin is more evil.
But Churchil he was a selfish he wanted to stab a knife in Russian back and this make me balive that he can be one of the bad persons lived in the world. Its hard for me to understand why most of the people still dont like Russia because of the cold war but you love Germany. What about us here ? We hear more propaganda about western world then you could imagen ,but i love England,Germany,Italy,Spain,Portugal (but not France) etc. Even after Jenuary 1 2007 Bulgaria and Rumania will be in EU two East Europen coutrys that not befor long were Russia's puppys. We should turn back to the cold war and not for start we shouldn't say "Well Stalin is more evil then Hitler".For god sake the topic is "who was the most evil person in the Third Reich"

Oh Zarodinu is this a joke or ? (Hell i cant understand it :D )

Dani, we in the West beleive Stalin was just as evil as Hitler for the way he systematically murdered and tortured thousands, if nor millions of Russians. And Churchill evil? He may have been a bastard, but he wasn't evil. He did what had to be done, whereas Stalin was out for himself, double dealing and sneaking around. And this is not from Western propaganda, this is from history books based entirely on Russian documents on Stalin's intentions.
Get your Communist rose tinte glasse s ff and view Russia frm our point of view, as we try to see the West from yours.

Point for everyone in here, this is evil person in the third reich, as Dani has pointed out. You want to argue about Stalin, take it elsewhere to another thread, which knowing this place will get locked down within the week, there's good little soldiers. ;)

Mengele. It's not just the fact that he did awful things, but the way he did them.
Of course "most evil" is hard to clarify and when you get to that level it becomes rather meaningless in some ways. But he is the one that disgusts me most.
Himmler or Heydritch would tie for most scary(vicariously). Himmler's "eccentricities" are rather frightening and Heydritch was so cold-blooded, the "man with the iron heart".

My answer? All of the above.
    I could agree with that!

What about Martin Bormann, he could be on the list too?

Bormann was more of a "leech" than true evil. He hung on Hitler's coattails and worked to isolate Hitler from the rest of his advisors.

My vote would have to go to Reinhard Heydrich, a cruel calculating ghoul. He really gets the credit for starting the concentration camps and the earliest forms of killing the Jewish people. Heydrich's "Wannsee Conference" of 1942 was the blueprints for the Holocaust.

What an interesting question and some great answers. There is no doubt everyone on that llist deserves their place on it. I look at it and think what made them evil. The political system in Germany must have done a good job in bringing the evil out in those people, some more than others probably didn't need to be pushed that far to find that evilness.

Although not the most evil of the Nazi regime I think Madga Goebbels needs a mention, anybody who can kill all her children in cold blood definetely has some evil in them. As for my vote, Heydrich - that face evil personified

  13. Just curious to know who you think was the most despicable member of the Nazi Regime apart from Adolf Hitler. I have omitted him because of the fact that he would win hands down. But after him who was the most evil? It does not have to have been someone who was particularly high ranking - I'd be interested to see what you think. I have included a number of candidates but feel free to vote for other - and name your person and give your :twocents:
Boy you come up with some tough ones. I go with Himmler. Von Poops observation about te banality of evil is so true. Thanks to Hollywood we want our villains to look like Darth Vader or Snidley Whiplash. Who could be more ordinary and unprepossessing then Himmler? In fact I actually worked with a guy who looked exactly like Himmler. Now you got me thinking who was the most evil person in history?

ONE ONLY Heydrich... The very epitome of evil. The cold calculating evil planner, that was determined to spread his evil.......
In my opinion he left the others standing.

  16. I voted for Streicher. He was a real scumbag. Known as 'Jew Baiter Number 1' in Germany.

In its extent Streicher's crime is probably greater and more far-reaching than that of any of the other defendants. The misery which they caused ceased with their capture. The effects of this man's crime, of the poison that he has put into the minds of millions of young boys and girls goes on, for he concentrated upon the youth and childhood of Germany. He leaves behind him a legacy of almost a whole people poisoned with hate, sadism, and murder, and perverted by him. That people remain a problem and perhaps a menace to the rest of civilization for generations to come. -Jewish Virtual Library

Look what wikipedia says about the bastard:
Julius Streicher was found guilty of crimes against humanity at the Nuremberg War Crimes Trial and sentenced to death on October 1, 1946. He had the lowest IQ of those Nazis on trial.
Streicher was not a member of the military and was not part of planning the Holocaust, the invasion of Poland, or the Soviet invasion. Yet his role in inciting the extermination of Jews was significant enough, in the prosecutors' judgment, to include him in the indictment.
His last words, before execution on October 16, 1946, were "Heil Hitler," and, "TheBolsheviks will hang you one day!". He also cried out ""Purim Fest 1946!" - i.e., Ten Nazis were being hanged, just as the ten sons of Haman were hanged in the story of Purim, which was an earlier attempt to wipe out the Jews
The hanging of Julius Streicher did not proceed as planned. The consensus among eyewitnesses is that he died by slow strangulation rather than by the quick death from spinal severing typical with the type of hanging used at Nuremberg. It is believed that the executioner had to intervene under the gallows to silence and finish Streicher, who was still groaning and swinging on the rope moments after the release of the trap-door

Its good that he died slowly! His last words prove Sapper's and mine point that germans are arrogant.

    Heydrich...

I find it hard to separate degrees of evil, but the persons on that list really were evil. Their deeds are apparent even today. But in 10 years they may be forgotten, and Pandoras box can be opened up again.

There is a trend in the schools that WW2 is beeing toned down. I find that to be dangerous.

My vote goes to Heydrich too.
Heyrdrich was the prototype of what Hitler had wished for, Heydrich is the inhumanity personified.
