    Folks,

I have a very small pin badge which relates to the Royal Engineers however the centre is different from anything else I have seen.

It reminds me of a Bombing Range Target Indicator.

Does anyone know anything about such a badge?

Its a little pin being only about 15mm in diameter.

Any help would be much appreciated.

The shape of the leaves resemble that of a shamrock which is often associated with Irish Regiments. The image in the centre is a red hand and I think this might be a Northern Irish symbol.Sorry I can't help more but as this is the only reply so far perhaps its better than nothing.Love to hear if you find out.

The Crown looks like a Queen's Crown , so post 1952. The Device in the middle looks similar to the map symbol for anti tank

It's nothing officially military; I suspect it is a 'fashion' item for blazers and the like with the cypher EIIR removed and replaced by a sign to remove any complications through the 'unofficial' use of either the RE cap badge or the royal cypher.
