    Hi guys,

Does anyone on here have any photos of Wellington Torpedo Bombers? i have done the usual searches but am asking if a pal has a private collection of photos they could go through. My the main ones i am after are 38 Squadron and 221 Squadron.

    Many thanks, Donnie.

    Donnie,
Although the wellington is mentions several times in my Coastal Command in Action book, I can only find one photograph which shows a 221 Sqd Wellington from St Eval.
The picture was taken from a Hudson of 233 Sqd as both planes circled the crew of a shot down Focke-Wulf Kondor.
Photo taken at 08.30 hours 23 July 1941.

    Ref: AIR 27/1438

    Regards
    Tom

    Hi guys,

Thanks for the replies, a great pic of 221 Tom and of an interesting subject.....Sapper, a damned dangerous job....dont no if you no but a Wellington Torpedo Bomber Pilot and Tail Gunner had a 17% chance of surviving their first Tour and a 3% chance of surviving the second...it was the second that got my Great Uncle......give your freind my best...

    Donnie...
