Any particular dates, Diane? dave Dave if possible esp anything from when they were in Pecq to embarkation. May 20 onwards. What I am particularly interested in any accounts/mentions of casualties, but if that involves too much would you just post what you yourself feel is the 'best' couple of pages? Howard& Sparrow is naturally very scant about both CG bns, so anything to add to their 30 pages about BEF is a bonus. Cheers, Diane
2nd Bn Wiltshire Regt . cheating a bit here...courtesy of Owen who sent me these via email and so didn't need much resizing...

Phil Phil...the War Diary only accounts for activities in France up to 1st June 1940, claiming that 'all but a few men (whose whereabouts is unknown) were accounted for on the mole at Dunkirk and had all left by destroyer by 05:30 hrs'. The activities of 'the few' after this time is unaccounted for in the diary. i've just got the actual diary from 21st May to the 1st June, but this ,alone, covers 12 pages. However, if its of interest, there is also a summarised version covering 10th May to 1st June which is just 5 pages in length. I can post this if you wish? dave

Hi Dave, I am not sure if you have this but would appreciate anything on the 65th Medium Regiment RA (TA) particularly 222 Battery ( Fraserborough) from JANUARY TO 29th May 1940. Many thanks Middy
Middy If no one has them and you can get to the NA at Kew, the reference numbers of the Diaries are:- WO166/1928 - In January they were in the UK. WO167/548 - They were with the BEF from Feb to May 1940. The unit continued to exist after the evacuation, as the next WD shows them back in the UK and covers the period June 1940 to Dec 1941. I can't see a separate WD listed for 222 Battery. Regards - Rob

Hi All, Just saw this and was thinking of all the War Diaries I have for Arnhem, I go to Kew and find ones with just a small link to that battle... Cheers Tom
Hi Dave.....Its Smee again. Do you have a copy of the sketch map Capt Lovett refers to in his account? I assume it is/was within that file? Capt Wilkinson's account finishes on the 18/5, do you have his accounts from Cassel after the 18/5? Any diaries from Fife and Forfar Yeomanry or East Riding Yeomanry from Cassel? If it makes life easier for you my email is drew5233(at)hotmail.com Cheers Again Andy
