Family history searcher. Trying to track down the veracity of an oral history happening during WWII, near Reichenberg Czechoslavakia.

It was my grandparents, my mother and aunt and uncles who were involved.
Not sure what forum to ask the questions
It involves hiding POWs, Nazi troops, US troops, fleeing Czechoslavakia, a Captain of HMS Repulse.
Any directions to proper forum is appreciated.

It helps to add a ‘tag’ when you create a thread, only you can do this. It is for the formation / corps involved or a theme like intelligence. Searching tags can identify threads, otherwise it takes a bit longer.

I have strong doubts a Captain from HMS Repulse is fiction. Simply really she was sunk by the Japanese off Malaya, 10th December 1941 and he was rescued, continuing to serve. See: William Tennant (Royal Navy officer) - Wikipedia

If you se the simple search facility with Reichenberg, there are a small number of threads and some refer to 'The Great Escape', POWs etc
