I'm going to post pictures here that I cannot group together as a theme. The majority have no description so I will add any comments I think relevant and invite others to add their comments too.

This trooper from an unknown unit searches for weapons. Attached to his helmet is a little bottle of mosquito repellent that was issued to us.

 

I cannot tell from his arm patch which unit this medic is from. The two women appear to be Montenyard. That is quite some smoke the one woman has and what is that in the younger womans pocket?

 

These villagers are being interrogated by a soldier in the Army of the Republic of Vietnam, we called such soldiers Arvins.

The G.I. is sitting next to what appears to be his radio and associated pack.




Awaiting interrogation? The sergeant's patch that of the 23rd Infantry Division known as the "Americal."

 

No idea which outfit this dog handler and his buddy are from.

Water is an abundant commodity in Gia Dinh Province even in the dry season. Three "B" Company, 1st Battalion, 16th Infantry Division cool their feet in an irrigation ditch while waiting for the patrol to move on. 6 March 1968.

What do the two G.I.'s have under their arms?

 

A popular forces soldier from Tom Binh, Gia Dinh Province, is crossing a canal while on a patrol with elements of "B" Company 1st Battalion 16th Infantry st Infantry Division near the Saigon River.

Popular Forces were South Vietnamese National Guard-type local military units.
