It'll keep splinters out, and good thing the USA isn't supplying M2 HMGs to the ZSU and... oh, wait...

Ukraine has received Browning .50 caliber heavy machine gun

    Penetration; 500 meters: 1.34 in (34 mm), 1,200 meters: 0.91 in (23 mm). Projectile diameter: 0.30 inches (7.7 mm).

    All the best

10/10 for dragging things back to a WW2 reference, High Wood.
    Very good.

In yet another time warp, many of the Russian armoured vehicles used by their airborne forces have the very same letter V on them all these years later.

Well, as far as the references to the Second World War are concerned, there was something in the area before:
Donets Basin Operation, September 1943. (Bakhmut lies approximately in the green circle)

That took me a moment after reading 'Panzerarmee'

They practically only had one reinforced tank regiment left. So to speak, "Kampfgruppe 1. Panzerarmee".

To achieve something like this in a country that is not actually hostile to Russia is quite an achievement.
With this, Lavrov has officially heralded the birth of the "sit-down comedian"
    Urrahh!

On this day last year, Ukrainian Air Defence units scored heavily against the invading Russians. They claimed to have shot down five aircraft and eight helicopters. Subsequent videos of wrecks and Russian casualty reports, confirmed that they lost at least four aircraft and four helicopters during the day.

    Russian Air Force
    Su34 Fullback (RF-81879/Red 24)- 2nd GvSAP (1 killed and 1 POW)
    Su34 Fullback- 2nd GvSAP (Probably 2 killed)
Su30SM Flanker- 31st GuIAP (1 killed and probably 1 POW)
    Russian Naval Aviation
    Su30SM Flanker (RF-33787/Blue 45)- 43rd OMShAP (2 POW)
    Russian Army Aviation
    Mi35M Hind (RF-13017/Blue 22)- 39th OVP (??)
    Mi24P Hind (RF-95286/Red 32) - Probably17th BrAA (2 killed)
    Mi8AMTsh Hip (RF-91165/Blue 58)- 39th OVP (At least 1 killed)
    Mi8AMTsh Hip (RF-91164/Blue 59)-? (??)

Sadly the war is far from finished, but days like this have at least done much to keep Russian Aviation away from operating over much of Ukraine and help keep the western supply lines open.

The comrades are apparently bringing several new types of mobile AA on MT-LB chassis to the front.
Besides the examples shown in post #1694 with 25mm 2-M3 naval turrets (4 specimen), there are demonstrably
two with 14.5mm 2M-7 and three with 12.7mm DShK.

All weapons have their maritime origin in common.
I can only assume that these daring improvisations are intended to counter the rampant UAF drone plague.

Unfortunately, there is only (unconfirmed) anecdotal evidence of this, otherwise I would have chosen it:

Part 2 of 2 on Russian Assault Units reformed. Following on from Itdan's post (1650) and Andreas's post (1651) on BTG being replaced by "new" formations are fully explained by the original Ukrainian series of tweets, based on a captured Russian document (linked at end of thread).
