Still an issue here. Once logged in drops out when moving to 'Recent Posts' losing https://

I'm being logged out on Firefox if I close the window...that's never happened before. It's not truly a problem, of course.

    Innit.
    Oddly fast for me.

I wish I could offer more explanation, chaps, but I cannot.
We rest in the arms of our generous Canuckistani-Texan benefactor.
He has a real job & a real family, and gradually sees us pack of largely limeys right.
I've been here nearly twenty years now & nobody ever sent me a bill.
Watched the place very nearly die on a couple of occasions before he bought it, and yet... we're still here.
I can fret all I like when it goes squiffy, but we are still here.

Wait out. I'm 96.37% sure we'll get all squared away... eventually.

Yes me too. If I then edit the address bar and just change the http:// bit to https:// I find I'm still logged on.

Also noticed annoying ad pop-ups which have to be closed before seeing content. Often happening when just changing threads.
    {Had to reconnect PiHole to stop this, sorry}

I am still experiencing a significant lag getting the site to load and when switching between forum threads but it does all eventually load ok, thankfully! :)

Just looking at this again, if I hover the mouse over "New Posts" menu/tab I can see the correct URL at the bottom left-hand-side of my Firefox window...

And when I hover over "Recent Posts" the URL is incorrect...

So wouldn't a simple edit to this page fix this problem?

In the last two days I have been using Mozilla Firefox. Initially logged on following an alert, read the relevant thread and then moved to 'Recent Posts' only to loss access. All attempts to log in again fail, even after re-booting.

Today after failures at first I re-started and logged in, adding a tick to stay logged on. This has worked so far.

    A Workaround ...?

For reasons unknown using a "Private Browsing Window" in Firefox on a Mac restores complete functionality to WW2Talk. Seems to work for now, but realize it may not be an option for everyone.

    Regards ...

Later - And now it seems to be back to sometimes logging me out on the "Recent" page. The workaround is temperamental ... frustrating.

After following an alert email to the forum I can log in. Once I move on it drops out. I now have to insert https:// to every thread I want to review. Which happened before awhile ago. Ugh.
