Only knew him through here but he was such an important part of the fabric of this forum. May all those who knew be comforted by the memory of his presence.

I have been away and just picked up this sad news. In spite of being aware of Richard's health problem, it came as a shock.

Richard was a good friend via our emails from the time he joined the forum when he lived in Brittany.

His forum presence and contribution is already missed. He was well motivated to assist others in their research and was an asset to the forum.

Condolences to his wife Elaine and family on such a loss.

Thanks Clive for your information, regarding Richard.

So very sorry to read this. I’ve only just seen it, I’ve not been on here as much of late and, to my shame, had missed it completely.

He was a great help to so many, myself included, for which I will be forever grateful.

My most sincere condolences to his family and to all who knew him.
