Very sad to hear this news. Sincere condolences to the family. Richard helped me on several occasions - they don't get better - and was a very patient and perceptive chap whose knowledge and perseverance knew no bounds. RIP TD
To my wife and me he was a good friend. Before he moved back to England I had phone calls with him once a week giving me advise and guidance. Wir sehen uns im Himmel mein Freund. RIP. Stefan.
A very sad loss. My heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. He will be very sadly missed by us all on the forum. He offered his help to me too, and was always helpful and gave his time and knowledge to us all. Lesley
Without a doubt, one of the finest people I have ever known but never met. His generosity knew no bounds and I'll always recall the work we started on together. Rest easy, TD. Dave

Much saddened by this sad news. Will be remembered as a helpful, prolific and important contributor. Condolences to his family.
Sad news, could always guarantee he would be one of the first to comment or help on many of my enquires. Condolences to his family and friends.
He was one of those ever-present and ever-helpful characters. It's not hard to believe that he'll be a great loss to those that knew him. RIP TD.
So sad to hear that TD has 'gone over the top'. We will miss him, although in some sense he will live on here through his many posts on this forum.
Very sad news. Richard was extremely popular on this forum, well known, and a very good friend to many. He helped countless people with their research including myself. I last saw Richard and Elaine during November of last year, he came over to our house and we spent the day together with a pub lunch. Early in December his wife phoned me and said Richard had gone into hospital with his health being a cause for concern. Both myself and Clive kept in regular contact with Elaine throughout this time hoping that Richard would make a complete recovery, sadly he lost his braveley fought battle. My condolences go out to Elaine,Richards family, and all who knew him. RIP Richard. Graham.
So many positive things have already been said of TD that just goes to show how much he was respected. I've only been on the forum for a couple of years and he was the first to offer me help and advice. My condolences go to his family Andy
I'm so sorry to hear this. I only knew him via the forum, but it leaves a feeling of loss all the same. My condolences to his family and friends.
