    I’ve not seen one like that before . A hospital transfer is usually for specialist treatment or closer to home in the case of a terminal illness in my experience of WW2 records

    Yes mate thats what I thought quite amazing what comes up trawling through civilian casualties

    Nether Edge Hospital - Wikipedia
    Looks like the hospital was bombed in December 1940

    In December 1940, the hospital was hit by 3 high-explosive bombs and numerous incendiary devices which damaged parts of it beyond repair – not to mention cutting off all power and water

    born Sheffield poss moved to London and then back to Sheffield

    there are a coule of other Ellen Coopers orn in London around that time
