Well done Tony. That's him - his Service Record is online at TNA - he was serving HMS Boscawen in 1900 and his list no. is 977. (Still free downloads at TNA if you want a copy of the Records). Tim

Thank you all that's great . Father in Laws name was Leslie Woodvine Born around 1910 in Doncaster died early 90's .He moved to Dagenham pre War and Romford post war . And Served with Royal Artillery and Northumberland Hussars ( Anti tank) No memory of any connection with the Brocks in family. Only connection I can find with Navy ,His Father in Law (Walter Thomas )served on SS Tekoa that was involved in rescuing survivors of U boat attack in 1943..
Hi Tricky Dicky Has he any surviving family around now? If I can find no connection of consequence to Father in Law or reason to keep it I might well contact them and return it .
It appears from the family tree info that he did not have any offspring from his marriage. However Brother Frederick - 3 children Brother Arthur - 2 children Sister Francis - 3 children Brother Albert - 2 children Some of these children are still alive or so it seems. I cant see a Woodvine, but as it may have come down through the female side that would answer that, possibly TD
