Sounds like a very worthwhile project.

I hope that it comes to fruition.

Thanks for this, very helpful links - my uncle trained on Stirlings (and indeed flew a single op in one) before converting to Halifaxes so I'm interested, of course, but I should imagine it has a much wider appeal too. Very worthwhile project,

    Cheers, Pat

    Every penny helps folks...

    In My Dreams:

If there is going to be ANY hope for movie or TV Series based on the book A Thousand Shall Fall by Murray Peden (Perhaps the best book ever written on any aspect of WW2)
it is predicated on the completion of this specific aircraft's restoration project. Period. End of discussion.

A Thousand Shall Fall by Murray Peden carries the highest recommendation of all:
"I consider it not only the best and most true to life 'war' book I've read about this war, but the best about all the wars of my lifetime."
    - Marshall of the Royal Air Force, Sir Arthur Harris

"Wrapping A Thousand Shall Fall in brown paper would not matter a damn – it is truly the mother of all classic war memoirs."
Aircrew Book Review: A Thousand Shall Fall - Murray Peden
