Remembrance Sunday: Why does the Queen wear five poppies? | Metro News

Interesting how the Queen wears five poppies, and always on the left. They are supposed to represent the four armed services and women, but it isn't confirmed. Other female royals seem to do the same. Wearing them on the left is supposed to keep the people you remember close to your heart, I automatically wear them on the right, as it's the traditional side for women to wear buttonholes. I don't think it matters, it is personal choice how people remember the fallen, whether they wear a poppy or they don't.
