I'm scanning and posting some newsletters and a few other items originating from the Guards Armoured Division from May 1945. Probably around 10 pages in total, but since it's foolscap outside of my A4 scanner size, there may be more scans. I'm not sure if this is new material (may be some in Guards Museums?), but these particular copies have been hidden away for too long. http://www.********.co.uk/WW2/Guards/NGMayPage1a.jpg
Next scan (yet to be done) is a bit more interesting: Intelligence summary for 5 May 1945 with details of Enemy situation, Gas warfare, Atrocities, Attitudes of POWs Civilians, etc...
Page 1 of 7 of Intelligence report, 5 May 1945 Tanks lost to sea-mines, Hitler youth murders, end of hostilities.
Page 5 of 7 Anti-partisans with (Black and Tan) experience, The Kaiser's son (the little sausage), How the Russians handle PoWs.....
The last edition of "Brussels Sprout", No. 33 of 11th May 1945 (thought it was too faded to scan but seems OK). Sea-Mine at Oste crossing. Red Army ignores surrender. German planes attack concentration camp. Channel Islands liberated. German fleet surrenders. Battalion casualties.
