    I recently found these online:

Battery diary, 341 Battery, 86th Field Regiment, Royal Artillery, 1944 to 1946; compiled by Lt Sidney Beck

341 BATTERY - 86TH FIELD REGT RA (HERTS YEOMANRY)

    - WAR DIARY - 3 JUNE 1944 TO 9 APRIL 1946

With refs. to - "Tilly" and "Tilly-sur-seulles" - and the battles (inc. Cristot) around there during June 1944, and much besides.

Also: The Story of the War since D-Day

The Story of the War since D-Day, as seen by an Artillery Officer, Lt. Sidney Beck R.A. (the transcript of his letters to his wife, 10 June 1944 to 15 August 1945)

    And: D-Day diary manuscript

This is the latest edition published earlier this year.
    1st Edition published 2008
    2nd Edition published 2019

According to Stephane - who I met in Tilly in June - the new 2019 edition contains updated information and also a few dozen extra pages. I've not been able to compare the two editions as I don't have access to the 1st Edition. It's a 'heavyweight' book so falls quite properly into the 'reference book' category rather than the 'easy reading' category. Something to dip into and out of as the case may be.

I find that French or German books in France and Germany sell for quite a lot less than the crazy UK/US Amazon computer-generated prices. Every time you do a search on an old book you up its price.

The copy I have which I bought in 2015 has the German tank on the front cover.
I bought it at the tilly museum and I think I paid €45 or €49 and your definitely right Steve it's such a big well written book that I'm sure if I read it cover to cover I'd forget the beginning by the time I got to the end
