Wasn't sure If I've ever posted these on this or the previous forum, so thought I would anyway. T34 In captured German Colours recovered by a Russian Diving club (Leningrad??). Astonishing state of preservation, apparently all the repair required to achieve Video4 was to slough the thing out with fire-hoses. I now can't find the site I got 'em off as it was all in Russian, I'll credit 'em later if I can.
Hope you like it anyway, Amazes me. :D

    Cheers,
    Adam.

(didn't really know where to post as it's axis & allied technology, any chance we can merge these forums as so many subjects will cross over anyway??)

'Engine running' and washdown video seems to have gone dead - edited out.

    Even Mrs D was impressed.

It's the bit with 'em towing it that always gets me, wheels turning, suspension moving... after 60 years in a Swamp!..
So... packed full of ammunition... Estonian woods... reckon they fired the gun after starting her up?

(cheers for that second site JT, more good stuff.)

    Pulled the tank out...now what?

This tank will need a lot of restoration.

More importantly, it seems to be loaded with ammunition. They'd better get the bomb squad in quickly.

However, I'm most impressed, and my congratulations to the recovery crew. Good work!

Well done Von Poop. I find this most interesting. Don't you just wish a WW2 aircraft could be found like this?

    Or this:
    Stug Of the dump.
Sadly the follow-up story according to wheels and tracks is that this Stug, recovered a fair while back complete down to many of it's tools was parked up in a nearby town waiting for the bureaucracyto be sorted and was picked clean of all it's external fittings.

Threads now merged. Also moved to "Allied Weapons and equipment."
Someone please tell me that camo scheme on the Panther is original, cos it looks bloody awful.
Did the Germans really let the crews do their own paint jobs?
