Suda Bay, Crete

    I have some pictures of the cemetery at Suda Bay, a very beautiful place

    You didn't happen to get any pictures of the German KgF Cemetery while you were there did you? (My mother-in law let me down on this when she went there last year - "A fallschirm-what???" - I think I asked the wrong person!!!! :lol: )

    Hi Dave

    yeah i have a few of the friedhof (sp) at Maleme,

    i saw a few of the surviving falschrimjagers in 2001 as well

    there a couple of pics

    Yes it was part of the 60th anniversary commemoration, attended by a lot of Vets and Cretan dignitaries

    a greek airbourne regiment parachuted in (not all of them :) ), complete with smoke and explosions and low flying fighters
