Hi, Just back from museum stint and someone has brought a propeller in (about 26inches long !!) made of wood and has asked me what it might be from.. It's pretty small as propellers go, maybe it's an apprentice piece, a sales sample or a souvenir. The current owner was given it by an American around 40-50 years ago but it's probably older, it bears the stamp of a company that looks like it starts with Ril... Engineering Company, Chicago. And help, as always greatly appreciated.. Cheers roger

Actually found it this morning trawling the internet, it's a propeller from a drone aircraft used by the US Navy from 1942 for gunnery practice. Made by the RITZ Engineering Company of Chicago.. Mystery solved Roger
Cheers Tom, We spent an hour on Sunday trying to work it out and it still beat us. Quite amazed by the outcome though. The link below should take you to the page !! http://www.enginehistory.org/Propellers/Contra/RighterOQ-2PropData/RighterOQ-2PropData.shtml Roger
