Hello, I have a question which perhaps one of the Mods can give relevant feedback. What is the order (perhaps promotion is a more apt name) of one's status as a member, and what is the mechanism to 'move up'? For instance - when one joins -- you become a New member Then you seem to become a Junior Member. Does 'progression through the ranks' then depend on the number of posts, or it it some other mechanism eg number of threads initiated? Perhaps a listing of membership levels would help -- and the consequent no. of posts required to gain such exalted levels (if that applies). I am sure that other members have wondered about this. Thanks Rattler Junior Member
Hi, In my account under "Personal Details" I can change the title to anything I like, though I never have. But must say I had a few amusing moments thinking up silly titles ... Regards ... P.S. - I'm not a moderator
I looked in the admin area. I found this, can't say I ever looked at it before. I'm not sure we even use it. It doesn't tally with what I can see on the forum. Therefore I admit I have no idea. I suspect von Poop will know.
^ About right. Think there's a more compete set... Somewhere. There is a sub-system that's mostly to do with allowing PMs after a certain amount of posts too, but that largely meaningless list above is the basic ladder. I keep meaning to change it to 'Learning to drone on', 'Christ, they're still here!', 'Will it ever end?' etc., but never get round to it. Well, that and I was told it might put off new chaps. Maybe if we get the new software... Letting people edit in whatever they like seemed the way to go, so I did.
Did I change my title or did I earn it automatically by boring the a*se off everyone with irrelevant information ? Still counting after all these years.
Again already? Well, if it is the only way to solve the logging bug AND does not mess up (or deletes) images and links to other posts like last time, why not?
No, it can't be! I am only just beginning to get used to this "new" one, whereas it took me only 2 years to familiarize myself with my new phone !
