Starfish site Arne, Dorset 1940 -1943

    What information still exists about this site?

    Were the Luftwaffe bomber pilots really irritated by this clever action?

    The area is still a RSPB nature reserve with a good cafe and walks, bird hides etc. I have never seen a notice board there or near the church which refers to the Starfish use.
    Incidentally, there was another Starfish site on Brownsea Island in Poole Harbour which had a similar role.
