My late father mentioned the Staghound being used by his unit in the 4th Reconnaissance Corps and I was looking on the web trying to find preserved Staghounds, when I stumbled on this great WW2 Canadian website.

There are many interesting photographs of the Staghounds used by the Canadians in Holland.

I am sure that they will be of interest top or forum members with Dutch Roots or connections.

    TCS -
The 26th Armoured bde of the 6th Armoured Div (16/5th Lancers - 17/21st and Gloucester Hussars ) finally traded in their Sherman's for Staghounds and Greyhounds in the middle of 1946 in Austria - we then had a ball in tearing around the backwoods of central Austria checking where the next villages dances were to be held - we had already rounded up all the bad guys and we were so far understrengh that we couldn't have fought our way out of a paper bag - so we enjoyed ourselves waiting for Demob - I had a Greyhound all to myself - it was a great vehicle!
    Cheers
