As a break of workflow I'll write a short article why there are so many women on frontlines on Russian Front and very few (or no) on others.
The roots of this historical phenomenon growing from 1917 Great October Revolution ;) as it called after by offical communists propaganda and historics. In one of so called decree communists declared that all kind of rights of women is equal to rights of men. This radically changed life of women in Russia, because from ancient time there was patriarchy wich declared main role to man - husband, warrior, bread-winner of family. In addition to this situation big role played rasing emancipation movement in West that fast infiltrated to imperial Russia and then Soviet Union. :)
So in young Soviet Union women begun to work on (earlier mostly) men's jobs, occupy positions in communists party (however they've did it before revolution in communists party), state administrations and "such stuff" :) if u excuse me for such phrase.
So when war came to Soviet Union's borders women just can't not take a part in freeing their country. Every woman has in mind such a thing : "what makes me worst freedom fighter than a men, why can't I help my country?" and u can guess that aswer for it was: "NOTHING. I can fight no badder than my husband, brother or just fellow citizen. I can help free my country as it possible for me".

If you'll look on Nazi woman - u'll see big difference. Woman in Nazi Germany was a producer of first-class Aryan sons and daughters of Third Reich, it's main goal in life (as it declared by propaganda) was give to Reich such sons and daughters.

thats all for now. correct me if i wrong somewhere :)

i know that the russian women were called "flintenweiber" which means "gun broads".
that expression expresses nothing but dignity in german.
