Grandad subscribed right up until his death in the 90s. So I too have a peculiar nostalgia for it, despite zero actual 'service' (ROC does not count. Civvy, & I was mostly there for the pub afterwards...) No results on searching him. Quite surprised as an inveterate letter writer. Maybe more devoted to 'The Wire'. He's deffo in there.
