    Leading Aircraftwoman Eileen Gladys Joyce Jacklin, Women's Auxiliary Air Force
    Daughter of Charles J. Jacklin and Violet Jacklin, of Northallerton.
    Northallerton Cemetery
    Birth: 1923
    Death: Mar. 15, 1947
    Eileen Jacklin was born near Northallerton on the 7th November 1923 and had one brother, Dennis.
    On the 1st of December 1942, Eileen joined the RAF and trained as a wireless operator (ground) and worked with Technical Training Command. Shortly after the war she was taken ill and entered hospital. After a long illness Eileen died at the age of 23, on the 15th March 1947, of pulmonary tuberculosis.
    Eileen Jacklin lies buried in a Commonwealth Wargrave in Northallerton Cemetery. She is also remembered in the Central Church of the Royal Air Force, St. Clement Danes, London.
