I hope some one can help, please.

My dad's thinking of applying for his service record, and I'm not sure which address to send it to - they're almost identical. I spent most of Friday trying to get through to some one to ask, to no avail.

    The gov.uk site states:
APC Secretariat, Disclosures 2, Mail Point 515, Kentigern House, 65 Brown Street, Glasgow G2 8EX

    The veterans-uk.info page states:
Army Personnel Centre, MS Support Division, Parliamentary & Disclosure Branch, Disclosures 2, (Data Protection Cell), Mail Point 535, Kentigern House ...etc

I'm sure it would eventually end up in the correct in-box, especially as there's a time limit, but I'd like it to get there first time.

    Thanks

At the end of April 2013, for my fathers WW2 record, we used the address on MoD Form 1694 - Jan 08 Ministry of Defence Data Protection Act 1998 Subject Access Request (SAR) Form which was part of the pack we downloaded by following the links from : --

    http://www.veterans-uk.info/service_records/army.html

On that form, under Part 2 - What to do next, we used...

    Army Personnel Centre Secretariat,
    Disclosures 2,
    Mail Point 515,
    Kentigern House,
    65 Brown Street,
    Glasgow,
    G2 8EX

I downloaded and printed out the forms last year so they may have changed slightly but nevertheless we had an acknowledgement of receipt within 2 weeks and the full record within 18 days so even if the address was not 100% correct it was still processed very quickly.

Thanks both for your replies, and the extra info, and the winner is .......... Mail Point 515!

Good to know they really do process these requests so quickly.

Thanks again and sorry to take so long to answer - I get easily distracted on this site, there's just so much to read.
