Hi, Thank you to everyone who has helped me so far.

I have been advised to include in my post title Royal Artillery as my husband's grandfather was a signaller with the Royal Artillery and I may be able to get further help with understanding his service history.

I've attached his records again, with this post.

So far I understand that my grandfather-in-law was transferred to the Royal Artillery (field) and qualified as a signaller and driver in 1943. and in August 1943 was posted to the 180 Field Regiment Royal Artillery.

From here he was posted to Draft REOFY and embarked from the UK on 12 November 1943 from UK and disembarked in North Africa on the 28 November 1943 it is from here that I would like more understanding of where he was a what happened to him in North Africa and then he went to Italy.

I hope that I'm not asking too much and would appreciate any help that you could give me.

    Many thanks in advance.

    Loubie
