I am researching a man with the 2nd/5th Leicestershire which at the time were in North Africa. The abbreviations read 7 CD 6.3.44 Disch 1.4.44. 4Bn IRTD X4. I think the IRTD could be Infantry Reinforcement Training Depot and the X4 means he was on the x(iv) list awaiting a posting but what is 7 CD? Any help will be appreciated. Terry
