Searching for Robert S. Henderson

Hello! I am searching for Robert S. Henderson, who was with a Scottish Regiment in Germany in 1946.

 

Do you know in what capacity he was serving in Germany in 1946?

 

2nd Bn Royal Scotts 3054338 Henderson Pte RS, Only problem POW reported missing in Hong Kong 25.12.41.

Thank you Tony 56! Not the Robert STEVEN Henderson I was looking for since I met him in 1946 in Amberg Germany and he never mentioned having been a POW. I appreciate your help. I do not remember in what capacity he served in the Military, but since he was a pharmacist, I assume he may have been attached to a medical corps. Thanks again

Last known address was 6 Coates Garden in Edinburgh, Scotland. He was a pharmacist, was born around 1925 (give or take about 2 years), was in Amberg (Germany) in 1946 with a Scottish Regiment. Thank you for your interest

Ok - can you post all the information you have on him - it is going to be difficult to track him down with this small amount of info, unfortunately its all a little vague.
Searching again I have some Robert Hendersons born about the right time in Stirlingshire, but the info you have may already eliminate that possiblility

I doubt he's Scots born TD, may well have served with a Scottish Reg, but the 1st Robert Steven Henderson born in Scotland isn't recorded until 1959 and even using the spelling Stephen for the middle name, the only one close was born in Peterhead in 1902. Too many Robert Henderson's born to sift through even if we had a mothers maiden name. Several Robert S. Henderson's on the GRO website.

His parents may not have recorded a middle name at the time of birth or he adopted a middle name later in life. Had a look at The Scotsman newspaper archive and nothing there either. No Hendersons living in Coates Garden on the 1930 Valuation Rolls.

When was Robert last known to have lived at Coates Garden?
