Hello eyerone, i am a ww2 collecter. I have some personal stuff i want to investigate for pictures and more info and maybe contact family members. Can somebody help me with these 3 names: *NOTE* this is all info i have: Name 1: K Parker Highland Light Infantry C Squadron 14276205 Name 2: Ayling Batist or Batist Ayling 212977 Name 3: Leroy Robert Ringel Navy Argus Unit 7 (U.S) U.S.S La Salle Thankyou very much! A photo would be lovely
212977 is Edward George Ayling (is the Batist maybe Baptist, his religion?) - he was commissioned as an officer in the Royal Army Service Corps in 1941
Mr Parker's wartime service is indicated by: 3rd (Royal Northumberland Fusiliers) Reconnaissance Regiment | Military Wiki | Fandom and 3rd (Royal Northumberland Fusiliers) Reconnaissance Regiment - Wikipedia Note: Both state 3rd Recce were assigned to the 3rd Infantry Division. His name and number appear on another thread (though why eludes me). Perhaps the date is when his service number was issued? : From: Army Number Block Allocations There are a number of other online sources.
Background on Ayling: https://repositories.lib.utexas.edu...43-11-24-002-00001.pdf?sequence=3&isAllowed=y For the USN sailor you already have some information: *Help* searching for this soldier There appear to several online sources for the USN unit, although it did not have a long life as indicated here: Argus Unit 7 and United States Navy Argus Units - Wikipedia
