Very very long shot but does anybody know anything about the below gents who are buried in Stonefall Cemetery in Harrogate
Only a partial explanation During World War II, Yorkshire was not only a rehabilitation center for the wounded, but also the largest center for RAF location. There were about 10 larger or smaller aircraft bases of the Royal Air Fleet in the area. Almost all of the burials in Harrogate (Stonefall) cemetery, a total of 988, belong to the pilots, three quarters of them to the citizens of Canada, many of them died of wounds in Harrogate hospital. After the opening of the Second Front, a large number of the liberated from German camps were sent to Yorkshire. Many of them were in need of an immediate medical attention and rehabilitation. Unfortunately not everyone was rescued. In 1945, Soviet soldiers Kapalil Petr, Ustinov Ivan and Kolyshev S (first name is still unknown) were buried at this cemetery. https://london.mid.ru/en/countries/...11c9e6e07533f7e25064e8a5815e81b615363cf776a7e
