my first entry on this forum.
I am trying to find any references to the regiment in Korea 1951.
My father Stanley Brown served there and was shot during Imjin River battle

If memory serves, there was a battalion history with that title.

I Haven’t check thru these, but these War Dairies are available from Library and Archives Canada on line…..and may contain info. Direct link to each WD below each unit:

War Diary of the 27th British Commonwealth Brigade (Korean War)
Department of National Defence, Directorate of ... - Héritage

War Diary of the 28th Infantry Brigade (U.K.) in the Korean War
Department of National Defence, Directorate of ... - Héritage

    1st Commonwealth Division (Korean War)
Department of National Defence, Directorate of ... - Héritage

    2nd Commonwealth Division (Korean War)
Department of National Defence, Directorate of ... - Héritage

Unfortunately there is NO search engine on these files……so you have to go “page by page”…..or just scan thru the documents to see if you can pick up a lead

    Good Luck

  8. You may enjoy reading their regimental journal from summer 1951:

Your father is mentioned on page 15 of the pdf, I believe. I will search by keyword when I am home.

Is he still around? Do you know which company he was with?

Thanks Robert. No my dad died when he was 79. I need to check through his army stuff properly for more info. I appreciate your helpful reply.

  10. Hi Lynn -- that page with the wounded is indeed the only mention of your dad in that edition of the journal. Sorry to hear he is no longer with us.

At the moment I am interested in C Coy, RUR in Korea due to ties to Lieut. J. M. C. "Max" Nicholls, No 8 Plt leader. Should you find anything of interest, please let me know.

    Robert
