Hello, not sure where to post, I'm looking for information about my Great Uncle who was killed in WW11. My Mum took us to the Memorial Horse in Princes Street, Edinburgh, where his name is inscribed, and we got more details from Edinburgh Castle War memorial book. I wish I had asked more questions back then. His name was John MacDonald no. 410803 TPR He was in the Royal Scots Greys in Syria, and may have been 19 or 20 when he died in action. I would love to find out if he has a war grave, and where it is. Can anyone help? Mrs M

Lesley, Thank you so much for that. It means a lot to find that out. It was always a subject never spoken about when my Gran was alive, it was too painful for her. Many Thanks Mrs M
Hello and welcome to the forum. If you can get to the National Archives I would check this diary: WO 169/1381 Royal Scots Greys (2 Dragoons) 1941 Jan.- Dec. Cheers Andy
