    Hello all,

    My grandfather was posted in Africa but I’m unsure where. He was a Royal Scots Fusilier and signed up to fight in 1941. I am aware that at some point while posted in Africa he was blown up while in an ammunition truck and spent several months as a casualty there.

    I’d be very keen to speak to anyone who knows where the Royal Scots Fusiliers may have been posted in Africa, along with the times they were there. Until I can confirm this information, I’d be at a loss going through war diaries trying to even possibly locate maybe even a mention of the truck explosion and possibly my grandfather’s casualty.

    thank you all in advance for any comments or advice.

    Best to stick to one thread at this point, avoids confusion and duplication.

    thank you, yes I did that so far. I kind of narrowed it down to the 2nd battalion by the places they were in action.

    from my understanding in sequence;
    - Florence
    - Rome
    - Naples
    - Pompei
    - Africa
