It's moving to the Action Stations building in the Historic Dockyard. The plans for the new museum which will open in around three years time, seem good as a visitor attraction but are less inspiring of confidence when it comes to the serious historian or former member of the Corps. To be honest some of the artists impressions make it look like a child's playground others make it look empty aside from computer screens.

It'll be sad to sever the last link between the Corps and Eastney Barracks.

Thanks for the heads up. Still got a valid ticket from last year so might just make a final visit...

Make the most of it, I do wish the new museum well but their plans don't seem to have included any serious research, the temporary exhibit at the Historic Dockyard seems to revolve around the physical aspects of being a Royal, which to me simply implies the Commando Course. Plans for the new museum don't fill me with confidence either
