My uncle Stanley Archer Field who died in 1991 was in the Royal Artillery from his attestation of 1940.Due to family complications after World War 1 I didn't find out about this Uncle until this century. There are other numbers written on the form and I was wondering if there is any way of finding what he did between attestation in 1940 and leaving at the end of the war.Picture of attestation attached

    Hi busterfield welcome to ww2talk.

    The quick answer is no.
That is only the entry in the attestation Book/register, where all the soldiers names and numbers were entered when they were called up, and where they were first or sometimes last posted to.
The only 100% information you can get from that, is his name, number and where he was posted on 9th Feb 1944. A.E.C. Army Educational Corps.
The only way to find out his war history is to apply for his full records cost £30.00.

Thanks for the reply RCG. It was a bit of a long shot but I had to try.
