One of my family are off to Rome soon and I have asked for details and a photograph on a John Albert Beesley grave, WWII.

Offers open to all, for requests on any other graves at the same cemetery.

John Albert Beesley can be found at the CWGC - Homepage website. Requests just for this particular cemetery. Any grave reference would be useful.

    Thanks

Thanks for that kind offer Jim.
Glad we got you posting, by the way I've moved thread from 'General' to 'War Grave photos' section of the forum.

Went there a few years ago. It's a small one, and a bit squeezed into the surroundings.

    All the best

Could I impose on your generous offer for pics of five of my airborne 'chaps'?:)

    They are as follows:
    1 D 29 Ward 6408727 AAC 02/03/1945
    1 D 30 McSperrit 7017181 AAC 02/03/1945
    2 D 8 Duncan 2993395 AAC 05/03/1945
    2 F 6 Birkett 179702 RE 13/08/1944
    2 F 29 Locke 5679337 AAC 29/11/1944

I am especially interested in any inscriptions at the bottom of the headstones, if there are any, so a close up of that area would also be appreciated.

    Thanks in anticipation

    Andy

    Hi,

Take note of the CWGC instructions.

As I visited several years ago and found the cemetery locked.

    Hi Mark

Printed out the details for the cemetery. As you say, locked due to vandalism, key availability, etc. Such a disrepectful world we live in at times. The life which we all have today, is because of the heroes in those graves!

    Thanks
