I can fully assure you my book is events from build to sadly sinking and loss of life Ive been to he National archives and CWGC and Runnymede you should buy my book then comment, example off of these war years, Ive written a book called Vintage Journey of MY life 45 years ago and the remarks of how wonderful it is tells me my research and phone calls were as close as it could be without me travelling to London, and many books have even told about LTE, same as this story the Lancastria, but I start with the men who built her, the yards, their lives to the sea trials and details to the tragic sinking by the German Luftwaffe so story as you say is indeed fact as what the history resources have and isn't sir Muddy water.
We found out my great uncle was lost on the Lancastria. Walter Alan Cooper aged 23 - Aux Pioneer Corps. Brian Crabb helped out with his research and Walter is listed in his book.
