Remarkable Polish Pilot - 300 Sqn, 305 Sqn, 309 Sqn

I am seeking details of Zigmunt Marian Bednarski who was a Warrant Officer in both the Polish Airforce and the RAF. In his time as a pilot he flew, both Spitfires and Lancasters, was shot down a few times and captured but managed to escape every time. He was a member of 300, 305 and 309 Squadrons. He was awarded the Virtuti Militari, the Cross of Valour AND 3 Bars!!!!

After he settled in Britain after the war he became known as John Croft-Bednarski. From the few sparse details I have accrued, his first name was also spelt ZYGMUNT

Any help would be appreciated.

Yes thank you Mr Dicky. It was only when I clicked on the link 'Faldingworth via Poland' that the words struck a note and then I realised that I actually own the book that that piece came from. I rooted it out from the loft.
