Hello , I just found a couple of photo's of a pen friend of my late mothers and thought it would be interesting to know which regiment.
The group one says on the back " taken at Camp 163 , Haifa , April 1946 .
The other I guess was all his postings and movements .
    Regards

    Hi Alan

I think you may need [if you can] to provide a little more info than the above, and as one cant zoom in properly onto the photo its very very difficult to make any sort of stab at which Regiment it might be

    Wiltshire Regiment? KRRC?

Not 100% convinced, but I'm looking for crosses...

2nd Battalion, The Sherwood Foresters moved to Haifa in Palestine in early 1946 so it is more than likely this is battalion in the picture.

I believe they are not the sherwood Foresters, I can look through their battalion photos if you want

A location statement of 1 Inf Div dated 21 April 1946 confirms that D Coy 2 Sherwood Foresters was at 163 Transit Camp, Haifa so I think Tricky Dicky is correct..........
