Looking for some help identifying these tags. Just bought them from an auction site and I'm waiting on delivery - pictures are from the auction site. Would appreciate any links to information pages or expert comments.
    cheers

They seem to be for Samuel Machin (1895 to 1965) who served in WW1 with the Grenadier Guards then Guards Machine Gun Battalion (the set of 3 tags) but who moved to Canada in the 20's he has a family tree on Ancestry

    Hello,

I believe those are the RCAF ID tags of Stanley Machin, born Nottingham 27 January 1908, deceased Kelowna, British Columbia 23 July 1987.

    Regards,

    Dave

I don't think so, the set of 3 are WW1 issue and checking him on Findmypast there are service records matching the name and number (as mentioned above Grenadiers then Guards Machine Gun Battalion) which have him born 1895, I found a Samuel Machin born 14/7/95 in Bleasby Nottinghamshire and died June 1965 in Charlottetown Canada with family tree on Ancestry he goes to Canada in 1920 back to the UK and heads to Canada again in 1927 - this tree has WW1 service which ties back to the WW1 tags number and unit - his image on the tree is as below which seems to be him in the RCAF in WW2
