Post #6 above from ‘hutt’ prompted me to have a quick look through the 56 Recce diaries as they contain various copies of 78 Division’s Operational Orders etc. Frank, not sure if you are looking for a particular unit or a particular date, and I am certainly not claiming that I have caught all references, but you may be interested in the following extracts.
