Hello.. Some of you may know me from another ww2 forum which shall remain name less. I am 39. A career Infantry officer in the US army. I work In operations. Im an avid reader, and a rabid Video gamer, Console and PC. Big into Il-2 1946. I have a Masters Degree In history. And Im a big ww2 junkie. My areas of interest lie in ww2 aviation. Special Operations, And Airborne operations. Im a lousy typist and my english skills are atrocious so I wana apologize from the jump.. but youll get my point. Im here to discuss, learn and meet like minded freinds. and to finally prove to you brits, JOHN WAYNE won ww2 single handidly LOL... actually im not the typical "Yank" I know how the other allies fought a lot longer and suffered some nasty loses and made a lot of sacrifices in ww2. Its a pleasure to be here. and i look forward to being an active participant and learning from you folks...

    How do and welcome,

I noticed in another thread you were in Iraq in 2003 - I presume by your username you were/are a Ranger. I'm just curious to where you were as my Troop did some work with some Rangers at Basrah IA around April 03. Long shot but sometimes it can be a small world.

    Enjoy the forum,
    Cheers
    Andy

Or a Penguin if you've only done P Company with the Jumps course still to do.

These Rangers weren't Battalion size at most I would say a Platoon and mostly wore civvies.
