Yes grand dad - Dad's dad. I think he must have been the eldest in the crew by quite a bit. I'm really hoping to find a surviving log book/diary. But all info helps to build a picture.

 

Is this Peter as well? He may have had a camera, as grand dad has commented on the back of at least one photo that Peter had taken it.
