A cheque, bank draft or postal order made payable to 'MOD Accounting Officer' should be included with the completed Certificate of Kinship and Search Document. No other form of payment can be accepted.

    Hi again everyone,

Firstly - Peter Clare - thank you for all the info regarding the records office in Glasgow. This is definitely going to be my next stop, it'll tell us so much about his military history.

Tom - Perth is now a city although somehow still fits between two inches, one of which is about 2k in circumference, and as for the Dundonians, well, lets' just say Kinnoul Hill still stands proud but didn't scare them off!!

Thankyou all, if I find out anything which may be of use to anyone I'll let you all know.

    You're all stars!

    Thanks again

    SB xxx :D

    Hi SB,

Good news...I found your mans grave and have several pictures of his final resting place.

Unfortunately the site is playing up at the moment and being very slow so I'll post it as soon as I can.

    Regards

    Andy,

It looks absolutely stunning there, and what a gorgeous day you had for it!

It's wonderful to know that he does have such a lovely spot in the cemetery, when I discovered he was there that was the first thing that struck me was the sheer peace and tranquility of the place.

I wonder who it was that visited in November - do you remember any other details? Because we still know precious little about him this is a bit of a puzzle!

On behalf of the whole family (it's my Dad's Uncle you see), thank you so so much for this - it was a generous offer and the results are amazing!

Thanks again, this will make Dad's birthday!!

    Hi SB,

Glad you are pleased and its my pleasure.....I'm sure no more than anyone else would do. As for the visitor I'm affraid I don't know and I'm only presuming as its a Rememberance Sunday Cross.

    Sorry

No need to be sorry! Thanks for that, we thought that was maybe the case but I guess it could have been anyone that put the cross there!

    Cheers again,

Your right anyone could have but it was the only one which to me would suggest a relative or someone who at least has a connection to him in some way.

Do you have any relatives in Kent?

Not that I'm aware of! Dad's family all came from Hampshire, so I guess it could have been a comrade. Intriguing stuff!
