    excerpt from my grandfathers diary;

    "i remember one incident near seda when a mobile kitchen arrived to feed the regiment with two drivers appearing from the vehicle acting like cowboys. So much so that they insisted on having a quick draw contest while the the blokes were queuein for food. They took out standard issue revolvers and walked back to back 12 paces and turned and fired, unfortunately one of the guns was loaded and one killed the other!"

    anyone heard about this?

    would this mobile kitchen have fed all regiments at once or one at time?
