Whilst reading through my copy of `Prisoners of War British Army 1939-45.I noticed the first name on the other ranks listings was a Pte J AAron as always basic details were included Army No 4457224 Pow No 636 camp No bab 21 Unit Durham Light Infantry.Because of the DLI connection I did a simple GOOGLE search and amongst the results was this THE MEMOIRS OF JACK AARON link Memoirs of Jack Aaron, Chapter One eleven short Chapters detailing his childhood ,his enlistment in `C` Company 10th DLI his capture outside of Arras his life on the inside of the wire until his release from captivity in 1945..Click the link for anyone interested in the lives of PoW`s from 1940-45 it is well worth a read.Tragically his brother Herbert was also Killed in Action with the 11th DLI in July 1944 Jack only learnt of this on his return from Germany. Best Wishes Jim
