    Is there any difference between a 60cwt and a 3 ton Ford F60L or are they one and the same other than imperial and metric?
    The same question applies to the Chevrolet C60L.

    Cheers

    When I went to school 1 cwt =112lbs
    1 ton = 2240lb

    60cwt = 60 x 112 = 6720lb /2240= 3 tons

    Problems occurred when we went metric in 1971. I worked for an American Company who were completely lost.
    We had to employ people to check their dimensions on all drawings for Europe.
    It was easier to re draw everything in the UK.

    According to Google 1 US Ton = 0.892857 imperial tons.

    A truck of coal weighs on an average about 8 tons.
